O’Hare was just outside the band of deepest snow, which stretched from areas around the Tri-State Tollway just north of Lake-Cook Road, west of the Edens Expressway and south to the Will-Kankakee county border, then
along Interstate 55 west to Joliet, according to the weather service. Highest amounts included 12.9 inches at the weather service’s forecast office in Romeoville, 12.7 inches in Peotone, 12.4 inches in Downers Grove and 12.1 inches in Morton Grove.
