Atlanta United 2 announced the signing of four players ahead of the 2021 USL season. The club has added Darwin Matheus, Matias Benitez, Connor Stanley, and Chris Allan to the roster.
Matheus, a 19-year-old winger, joins the club on a transfer from Venezuelan club Zamora FC.
Benitez, 20, is being loaned to the 2’s from River Plate’s reserve team. He is primarily a forward.
Stanley joins the club on loan from Manchester United. He is a 19-year-old forward.
Finally, Allan is a 22-year-old midfielder who came up in Sunderland’s academy before coming to the U.S. to attend the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
ATL UTD 2’s season kicks off Saturday April 24 away to Louisville City FC.
