The tournament schedule includes a practice round on Sunday, April 11 with the first-round tee times starting at 8 a.m. on Monday using split tees on the first and 10th holes. Tuesday's final round will also feature split tee times off both the front and back nine beginning at 8 a.m.
A combined 15 teams representing 14 institutions will be on hand for the event. Tournament host Wofford will field two scoring squads with an "A" and a "B" team and in addition to the Catamounts will be joined by Southern Conference schools Samford and Mercer. Rounding out the field are Charleston Southern, Eastern Kentucky, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State, Longwood, Presbyterian, Radford, USC Upstate, and Winthrop.
Western Carolina's scoring five is led by sophomore Pierre Viallaenix who enters the penultimate event ranked eighth in the SoCon in scoring average at 72.95. He is flanked by sophomore Magnus Pedersen as the second seed, 23rd in the SoCon with a seasonal average of 74.55. Freshman Presten Richardson is seeded third followed by juniors Louis Theys and Tumi Kúld, the only two Catamounts to have competed previously in the Wofford-hosted event, doing so back in the spring of 2019.
"We're looking forward to an exciting week on a great course for our final prep before the SoCon Championship," said WCU head coach Tim Eckberg. "I love where our guys are at both physically and mentally. The guys have been playing well the past month, we just needed to tidy up the little things that make the biggest difference in putting low scores on the board. I'm looking forward to seeing them in action this week."

The 2021 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship is scheduled for April 19-20 at the Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga.
